Merry Monday Simple Sketch

Pin It Now! Happy Easter Monday to you! I hope your Easter festivities were bright & wonderful. It rained here for much of the day, sun popping in & out occasionally. But still a fabulous day!

I'm dropping by for a couple quick CAS Christmas cards. Merry Monday has provided an interesting sketch this week, with banner ends going up. Oh, how tempted I was to flip the sketch! But this is a challenge, no?

The first card follows the sketch to a T. The horizontal stripe is an embossed row of snowflakes, and the three banners are strips from Festival Of Prints & First Edition. I rolled the edges to reveal a little of the print on the reverse. A few punches and linen thread wrap to pull them all together.

My second card was just a result of leftover parts. The white CS that I decided to switch out, and lace tape & twine that was also sitting in my castoff bowl. I love scraps! They make my crafting spontaneous & I like this card just as much :)

Hope you have a nice week, that brings you a little sunshine & some spring flowers!

Thanks with Flower Power!

Pin It Now! A color challenge always tries my patience, unless it's pink and green. So I guess it's a blessing in disguise that I should have a color challenge to participate in at least once a month!  This week (or 2) at Hand Stamped Sentiments invites us to use some juicy, bright colors...and here's my take.
Raspberry Ripple, Baja Breeze, Daffodil Delight, and a neutral of your choosing.  I used Crumb Cake, of course!

So, I punched a panel of Crumb Cake with the Blossom Punch and 1" circle punch, and stamped onto a Very Vanilla panel underneath it.  Easy enough to do, you just lay the punched panel over the vanilla, lightly trace your shape with a pencil, and use the Stampamajig to stamp the flowers.  Then pop up with dimensionals to give it a neat shadowbox look!  (I have to admit I threw the first panel away because I couldn't get the stamp lined up in the right direction.  Oops!)
The thank-you sentiment (Petite Pairs) is stamped on a small strip from Tea for Two (Spring Mini) and tucked into the top flower.  I punched it at the end with the Bitty Punch flower and placed the coordinating Bitty Button onto with a dab of Crystal Effects.  I like that it mimics the larger punches.  A few rhinestones and a border of piercing, and it's all ready to go!

Quick gift tag / bookmark idea! Mixed Medley

Pin It Now! I put together thank yous for my latest workshop orders, and decided I couldn't live another moment without making something from the new Hostess Set, Mixed Medley - it's a fabulous variety of circles and scalloped circles, that you can layer and punch!

I made a bunch of gift tags / bookmarks / package toppers with the Merry Christmas sentiment and the snowflake image...
Really cute, and oh, so easy!
 Two Tags Die
*NEW* Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder
Champagne Glimmer paper 1-3/8" circle punched
Snowflake image from Mixed Medley punched with *NEW* 1-1/4" scallop circle punch
Merry Christmas image stamped with 3/4" circle punch, sponged edges. Cherry Cobbler ink.
Tiny Champagne Glimmer punched circles using Owl Builder Punch.
Hole punch at the top and add choice of ribbon.

I used Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler, and Soft Suede. I think I like the Soft Suede best, surprisingly enough.  Very soft and chic :)
Here are all the images included in this set, Mixed Medley #128057.

I can't wait to make some Halloween treats with this!
