Happy Halloween with Holiday Home

I was finding myself short-handed on Halloween cards to mail out this week, so I made up a batch of these clean and simple cards with the Holiday Home bundle. 

The house was heat embossed with Smoky Slate powder, die cut with the coordinating Framelit, and then I also die cut the white cardstock and inlaid the house so that it's flat on the card.  I think it looks more CAS this way, and the stars add texture.

The "Happy Halloween: sentiment is cut from one of the Apothecary Accents Framelits, and cut about 2/3 up. 

That orange ribbon? It's very retired Sycamore Street from a past Sale-A-Bration. Using the stash!

Batty Punch Art Circle Flip Card - Halloween!

Pin It Now! A fun idea that I discovered from last year on Pinterest from Susan Campfield.  My layout is updated a bit with current supplies from the catalog and the Holiday Mini 2014...new DSP, the cute Lucky Stars embossing folder, and tiny bats from Holiday Home.

Peek-A-Boo!

The bat wings are made with the smallest butterfly from the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die, and the silver Glimmer bat punch is retired. 

I like this little ticket (That's the Ticket stamp set)!  I found it by accident rummaging for Halloween themed stamps :). The Blackberry Bliss ticket is stamped with Hardwood, and sponged around the edges. The bat (Owl Punch) hangs off the edge of my Hello Honey moon, and a flurry of bats fly off into the night (Holiday Home). On the flip side, a Halloween greeting, and more bats!

Happily Haunted House!

Pin It Now! Here's a cute little haunted house, complete with batty chimney and a ghost coming through the walls!

The color combo is a fun one from Hand Stamped Sentiments.  I used coordinating strips of patterned paper at 3/4" and 1/2" by 1-1/2" and pulled them all together with a black satin ribbon.  The house is colored with the same combo.  I love this stamp set!  There are so many little details you can add to the house.  Here, I've spooked it out with the Halloween stamps - ghost, tree, bats, and that tiny spider web in the corner of the door.  Such fun to build a scene! 

A little close up of the house. I keep a curved mask of paper in the stamp box to make grassy hills out of with a sponge wedge.  I outlined the house lightly with pencil after die cutting it with the matching framelit to place the bats, ghost, and tree correctly.  Then simply erased the lines and popped the house up with Dimensionals!

Happy Halloween! Hand Sanitizer Holders for all ages.

Pin It Now! Happy Halloween, crafty people!  I hope you plan to have fun today, however you celebrate.  I have made up a whole bunch of hand sanitizer / anti- bac holders for friends, family, and to sell at a local salon.  Truly, you can't go wrong with Bath & Body Works mini hand sanitizers, they're adorable!

A haunting Hello to you!  Today I'm mixing a little old and new to create this Halloween shaker card for Hand Stamped Sentiments' latest sketch challenge.  

Check out this fabulous, simple sketch. Oh, the possibilities!

Shakers are so fun to do.  With Stampin' Up! Shaker Frames and a little layering, they go together quickly and easily. This one is filled with German glass glitter.  The DSP is Nite Owl, which is retired as a paper product, but still available as a Digital Download for use with My Digital Software or any other digital software program.  So it's never out of style!  And you can resize the paper to use any part of it.  

A little batty punch, and Woodgrain embossing, and a  knot of smooth Basic Grey satin ribbon, and several small punches and the simple sketch gets fun details.

Halloween Triple Hex (It's not what it sounds like!) HSS170

...But either I was overtired or under-Halloweeny, because it killed me to come up with an idea! So it literally got me out of bed at 1:00 a.m. this morning, to just do this and get it off my mind. Meet my insomniac card.

 I mentioned before, I don't typically invest a lot of time in Halloween cards, so I don't buy stamp sets in this theme.  This was one night I wished I'd had a nice new stamp set to play with.  So I used what I have. This pumpkin stamp comes in the Hostess set, Perfectly You.  Matched with Six Sided Sampler, it works out nice!  And this is the first time I've used Candy Dots...I love them! What took me so long?!

Hey, Pumpkin! Halloween Treat Box HSS169

I don't send out many Halloween cards, but I LOVE candy, so most of my Halloween posts will be treats!  Here's a cute little kraft box created using Hand Stamped Sentiments' latest sketch challenge...

The sketch:

This was quick and simple to make once I rounded up all the elements.  The circle border is from Kind & Cozy.  You wouldn't have guessed it could look spooky in black Stampin' Emboss!  After gluing in Window Sheet punched from the 2-1/2" circle punch, the front was decorated with the cute hex stamp Hey, Pumpkin! from the hostess set Perfectly You.  The little bow is handmade from a scrap, and embellished with a black Glimmer Brad.  And the b-o-o?  Those letters come from Sweet Essentials, hand cut from the sentiment "Bride and Groom". I wanted them to look like vintage typewriter.

The eyes are krispy chocolate, yum-yumm!  Here's a pic of the (empty, haha) bag.  If you're interested in buying these, I got mine from Dollar Tree.  A whole bag can easily fit in the box, but hey! It's a dollar for a super cool treat!

Polka Dots & Pumpkins

Pin It Now! Hi friends!  I am loving this chill in the air.  As I write, I'm enjoying the smell of a fresh apple pie baking, and am looking forward to curling up with the fam to watch TV and enjoying a slice with vanilla ice cream...yumm, comfort food!

Speaking of fall and cool air, this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments, the challenge is all about pumpkins!  Any way that pumpkins inspire you.  I used an old favorite, Greeting Card Kids...

I just love her! I'll never get tired of these cuties.
I created my own background paper by punching 1" circles of Whisper White and adhering them on Basic Black, and stitched around them to pull the look together.

The pumpkin is paper pieced from the reverse side of the small polka dotted DSP (Polka Dot Parade).

I made a big loopy bow and added a strand of burlap, a Vintage Faceted Button and glimmer brad, as well as a knot of Sweater Trim at the fold. The texture of this trim is so cozy!

So come and check out HSS this week, I just know you have a little pumpkin project up your sleeve!

Sharing Soiree Swaps!

Pin It Now! I recently hosted a swap with a bunch of truly talented ladies, and I wanted to share their cards with you. Hopefully you'll be inspired to create, as I certainly was!

The first batch is Fall themed, and tomorrow I'll share the Winter/Christmas.

First up is JoAnn, who made this lovely scallop circle card. It's held together with a cute little belly band, and opens to reveal a little Pool Party message!

Next up is Wendy's card. Don't you just love that medallion?! Why haven't I bought that stamp set yet? Those witchy feet are so cute! Love all the punching & techniques. Wicked Cool stamps, wicked cool card!


This card was done by my very talented friend Danyelle.  I LOVE her blog, you have to check it out.She always makes me laugh, but she's sweet too, and so creative!I love this message of gratitude and the lovely tree with just a touch of bling.Hand Penned Holidays, Lovely as a Tree. 

Here is a beautifully detailed card from my friend Iris. Lots of paper piecing and layering here. She always decorates the insides & envelopes to match.



Here's Rose's card. We've been swapping cards for over 4 years! This wreath is from a hostess set in the Holiday Mini. She used the new Dazzling Details to add sparkle to the leaves.




Here's a bunch of chocolate minis I wrapped in Pick Your Poison DSP and plunked them in a dollar bin bucket with dollar bin moss. I know Halloween's over but I think I may do this for Christmas too!

HALLOWEEN PUSH POPS done MDS style

{The tulle skirting was from JoAnn's.  It's on sale.}

They're mini brownies in push pop containers.

Remember those?! With the orange ice treats?

I'm obsessed with them, they're so cute!

I decorated them with labels printed from Stampin' Up's My Digital Software. 

You get all these embellishments for $4.95...

You can resize them, print off as many as you need, add words to the blank labels.

They match the DSP, so you look so put together.  :D

I got the original idea from Pinterest, you can find these containers stuffed all different ways. 

Here's a sample that caught my eye:

I've seen them done with M&Ms, multicolored cakes, cinnamon buns, yummm.

I bought the containers from this seller on Etsy, she was wonderful!
