Epic Day Altered Journal & Mini Comp Books

By the time this posts I'll have been in Ireland for a week!  This is my first international trip, and I'm having the time of my life!  It's been a whirlwind, and I'm determined to capture all the small details. I shopped online for a travel journal that I'd be happy to write in, and really came up empty handed. I wanted a Smash book, but they're a little too cookie cutter for this trip. So...I dug through my craft room and found my barely used a Epic Day This & That Journal!  It's a nice size, the pages have somewhat of a travel/adventure theme, and the pages are plenty sturdy to glue photos and memorabilia down.

I covered it with some of the coordinating Epic Day DSP. I think the green map paper is perfect for Ireland memories!
I wrapped some (retired SU) ribbon around into a bow, added some lace, and an antique key. I've been writing in it for several days now, and it's holding up great!

The little Ireland embellishment is hand cut from one of the pages in the journal, after typing on it (thanks, DeeAnn!). I made a little bird's nest shape for linen thread and used Crystal Effects to glue it down.
I made a matching mini composition book to match...I've been jotting down all the little things that happen, that are so easy to forget. Then, I write it all down in the evenings.
I made a few for my traveling sistas, and my mom as well!  I've seen some of them busy jotting things down, and it makes me happy :D
I used our sketch from Hand Stamped Sentiments to create the covers for my journals. Visit us and play along!
Have a blessed and creative day!  ~Erika
