MOTHER'S DAY FOUR FRAMES CARD

Having some time to myself this morning, I set out to make a card that looked NOTHING like this one.  I always do that!  I find a card or two that I love and intend to case, and end up with something way, way different.  I wanted to use the Hope & Strength set from the new Summer Mini (available for order May1!).

I ended up being inspired by the Four Frames stamps, and thought the butterflies would suit me better being a background.  Having dug through my stash, I thought a pretty Trinket Key would be a perfect embellishment.

Here’s the supply list:

Cardstock:  Baja Breeze, Sahara Sand, Whisper White
Framed Tulips embossing folder
Hope & Strength stamp set
Four Frames stamp set
Mother of Mine single stamp
Baja Breeze seam binding ribbon
Pink Pirouette 1/8” taffeta ribbon
Trinket key
Baker’s Twine, white
Tag punch
Stampin’ Write markers: certainly celery, pink pirouette, baja breeze
Ink pad: Early Espresso, Baja Breeze
Decorative Label Punch
Stampin’ Dimensionals
Color Spritzer Tool #107066
Sizzix Big Shot
Dazzling Diamonds glitter

That's an extensive list, isn't it?!  You can of course substitute with any variety of pretties from your stash.  I love new things, but I also love using my stash, too.

This was my inspiration card.  I know, right?!?
It is an awesome card.  Maybe I'll case it tomorrow!

SPRINGTIME VINTAGE LAYOUT

I have to share a layout I received at a Stampin' Up swap.  It's so pretty and gets compliments whenever I show it.  The creator is Paula Magnus, another SU demo.  I've had some requests to CASE it, so I'm posting it here so it can be duplicated.  OF COURSE, if you need supplies to make it, you just let me know, wink-wink!!!

SUPPLIES USED:
SPRINGTIME VINTAGE DSP 121782
EASTER BLOSSOMS STAMP SET 122057
TAG PUNCH
BOHO BLOSSOMS PUNCH

STAMPIN' BUFFET WITH THE GIRLS

Yesterday I had the honor of hosting a party at my house for all my customers, come & go as you please.  I had a nice turnout & everyone had a good time.  Some projects were complicated (I always have to throw in a WOW project), and some were simple.  My younger friends in attendance are showing off their BEAUTIFUL work!
Miss C made the Sweet Bunny Toppers!

Miss K made the WOW Birthday Tea Light project.
...And here is my gang hard at work.  I have SUCH a good time when we have our parties and appreciate each and every one of them.  They allow me to do what I love, and anytime someone else will join me, it's a GOOD DAY!  xoxo

STAMPIN' UP! SPRING IS BLOSSOMING PROMOTION...

This month only, you are eligible to pre-order a couple of items from the all new upcoming 2011-2012 Idea Book.  The new book is open for ordering July 1st, but during the month of April, with an order of $20, you can purchase either or both of these beautiful products.  I have them, and they're really stunning!  The papers are very bold on one side, and muted smaller prints on the other, which is really smart, since it's sure to please everyone.  And don't get me started on those stamps!  I love stamps that can be punched out nice and neatly, and I REALLY love this Designer Label Punch.  I know most of my customers have it already, so you're halfway to gorgeous.  I've seen lots of beautiful samples already, with all kinds of senitments stamped into the centers.  Very versatile.

Just contact me if you'd like to order, as I place orders weekly.  Here are some recipes for pretty projects using these items.

If you want to try it for yourself, check out Becky Jensen's tutorial here:
http://www.stampthat.com/blog/tutori...e-baby-onesie/
I live in a household FULL of boys, men, jeans, action figures, and boy scout supplies.  So, being invited to a GIRL baby shower makes me so excited, because I get to make a pretty baby girl card.  I know these onesies have been done a lot, but I've been dying for a chance to make a cute & blingy girl one.  What do you think?

MINIMALLY MOTHER'S DAY

Beautiful Butterfly Embosslits
Rose Red & Whisper White CS
Baker's Twine in white

I couldn't wait to try out one of the new 3-Step Punches that SU will have available to everyone May 1st! You can layer these beautiful flowers and create dozens of flowers with a single sheet of paper! I thought I'd try monochromatic for this card, with a little shot of color for the sentiment. It's a fast & easy card that you'll be making if you're at my house on Sunday. Are you free for a couple of hours? Well, come on down! Check my calendar for details...
Here's a second one that I made with the same punch set.  So much fun just to scatter these flowers around.  I'm going to make a scrapbook page next.  Little stitching...little bling...
And one last sample of the Mother of Mine stamp.  Same as the original, but this one is done using a BRAND NEW line of embossing powders by Stampin' Up!  The colors they chose are gorgeous. This one is Wild Wasabi.  They're also very fine, so you keep all the details on your stamp, no heat-emboss-ooze here!  I think this one is more delicate looking for the romantic, shabby-chic mom in your life like mine <3!

CUTE CHOCOLATE CRITTER!

This simple little project is ideal for papercrafters of any age. My 7 year old Ryan made one last night and was so tickled with himself! I have to admit, it tickles me too! You can't see because of the bow, but there are little white teeth cut from a scalloped circle punch! Thanks to simplysimplestampin for some cute ideas. We'll be making these as a quick project at my Stampin' Buffet this Sunday. Please go to my Stampin Up! site for more details. http://www.erikaclark.stampinup.net/

Springtime Vintage layout

From the bright and airy Springtime Vintage designer paper set, I made this 8x8 layout. Stamped background on crumbcake from Bliss, and a couple of handmade embellishments. Those paper flowers are so much fun to make! Also made a journaling block with the Top Note die and the Notes & Details set from the Occassions Mini for this spring. Punched a few flowers, added a few pearls. This will work for birthdays, girl time, Easter, anniversary, babies... :) I think I'm going to highlight my scrapbook room on this one. Makes me SO blissful!

Get Well repurposed

I have a friend with an *awful* nagging cold who isn't getting much sympathy for feeling so cruddy. I threw together a quick gift with my Get Well Wishes set, and a plastic box from my stash. A couple of scraps, a quick stamp, and a couple of rhinestones to dress it up, and I'm good to go. Filled with various organic teas & Hall's cough drops :) Ten minutes to make someone feel (((hugged))).

ROCKIN' BIRTHDAY BOY

Here's a cool and bright card for the boy in your life.  I made this one to match the gift wrap, and the red-white-black theme worked really well.  In fact, I liked it so much, that I punched a hole in the upper left corner and tied it onto the gift so it wouldn't get closed up in an envelope!
SUPPLIES:
Extreme Guitar (115328)
Plane & Simple for happy birthday sentiment (121964)
Cardstock: Read Red, Whisper White, Basic Black
The background stamp is one I had on hand, but what I would have liked to use is
Extreme Elements (115181)
Happy birthday stamp is just stamped off several times for the faded effect.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Plane and Simply stated.

I especially love this Plane & Simple stamp set from the Occasions Mini.  It's a great looking, easy to use selection of masculine stamps that covers birthday, thank you, and Father's Day, all included.  And since my husband is a pilot, I use it quite a bit!  Here's the sample I made for his birthday this weekend.

Nice and masculine, in red, white & blue.
Tri-fold cards always look great, and I used the brad
on the left to secure the card closed with linen thread.
SUPPLIES:
Plane & Simple (121964 clr)
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Very Vanilla
Love Letter DSP (117162)
Punch: Modern Label Extra large (119849)
Antique Brads (117273)
