Handmade Gift Bag with Mason Jar Labels

I love to can my own food!  And, I love to talk to other people about canning our food!  I recently had a conversation with a friend, and was inspired to make her some mason jar labels, and a pretty little gift bag to put them in.  Here's the bag:
It's simple to make!  I used a template, found here, and embellished it with lots of pretty supplies, including the stamp set Friendship Preserves.  I created the mason jar labels myself, digitally!
She loved them!
A jar of my homemade concord grape jelly with the labels and some SU trim...
I have the labels for sale in my Etsy Shop!  They make your gifted foods look so cute!

Embellished Candle with Clearance Rack Items!

This is a really yummy candle I gussied up for a friend's birthday. Some current supplies are used, and a few old favorites that are currently available on the clearance rack.

The Sentiment is from the current Label Love stamp set. Heat embossed in gold and punched with the coordinating Artisan Label punch.

So, raise your hand if you miss Spice Cake DSP! And how about Early Espresso Scalloped Tulle!  Me me me!  Imagine my delight when I discovered that these items are now available on the Clearance Rack!

(update:  the Spice Cake fabric is available on Clearance Rack but not the patterned paper. However, you can always use Spice Cake paper by printing it digitally with MDS.  The scalloped tulle is available on Clearance, though!!!)
They look so pretty together!  I hot glued a small glittered pine cone to the tulle bow. Here's the candle flavor below, Bath & Body Works. Heavenly!

Are you in the mood for pumpkins, cinnamon, and cider yet?  It's so nice & autumns here in the Appalachians already, I'm loving every minute of it!

Thanks for stopping by, have a blessed & creative day ~ Erika

Hey, Pumpkin! Halloween Treat Box HSS169

I don't send out many Halloween cards, but I LOVE candy, so most of my Halloween posts will be treats!  Here's a cute little kraft box created using Hand Stamped Sentiments' latest sketch challenge...
The sketch:
This was quick and simple to make once I rounded up all the elements.  The circle border is from Kind & Cozy.  You wouldn't have guessed it could look spooky in black Stampin' Emboss!  After gluing in Window Sheet punched from the 2-1/2" circle punch, the front was decorated with the cute hex stamp Hey, Pumpkin! from the hostess set Perfectly You.  The little bow is handmade from a scrap, and embellished with a black Glimmer Brad.  And the b-o-o?  Those letters come from Sweet Essentials, hand cut from the sentiment "Bride and Groom". I wanted them to look like vintage typewriter.
Let's peek inside, shall we?
The eyes are krispy chocolate, yum-yumm!  Here's a pic of the (empty, haha) bag.  If you're interested in buying these, I got mine from Dollar Tree.  A whole bag can easily fit in the box, but hey! It's a dollar for a super cool treat!
If you would like to buy a kit to create this box on your own, including the candies, I can send you one for $3 plus shipping - This includes everything you see; the box, pre-stamped Halloween image, paper strips, window sheet, and candy.  You put it together.  Email me! inkypinkies@hotmail.com

Head on over to Hand Stamped Sentiments to see all of the cards and creations made with this simple sketch, and create something today!

Wonderful Blessing - New Christmas Single Stamps! With HSS168 Color Challenge.

Oh, yay!  I got some new Christmas stamps this week, and they're just what I was hoping for from Stampin' Up! this year.  Classic, reverent, Christian images and words that just make my heart swell.

I used two of them for this card using the color challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.
I just love the big, beautiful nativity scene of the Wonderful Blessing stamp! The nice, wide burlap ribbon makes a big statement without being fussy.  The doily is brayered with Raspberry Ripple Classic Ink to give it a non-traditional pop of color.
The edges of the Gumball Green circle are lined with a blend of gold  Stampin' Glitter with a touch of black glitter mixed in to give it a vintage glass glitter look.  A basic rhinestone in the center of the Star of Bethlehem is colored with a gold marker.
Inside, another single stamp, Magical Season, is colored with Stampin' Write Markers in this weeks colors:
You should check out the challenge this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  I'd love to see where this color combo leads you...autumn?  Masculine?  Christmas?  Something else?

Here are the singles stamps available right now!  These are not in the Holiday Mini, so pick them up to round out your Christmas stamp collection.  Let me know if you want some :D
Have a blessed and creative day ~ Erika

All That Glitters Is Not Gold...It Just May be MEGA Glittered! USWDAF

Here is the second project that I created for Ustamp With Dawn & Friends! Heating Up the Holidays 2013. I love this versatile tag stamp set, so I used it to make lavish ornaments that double as gift tags.  I plan to tie these to gift bags for my best crafty friends, and my mom who loves all things pink!!!
Tons of hand-sprinkled glitter, or glimmer paper for getting it done quick.

Here's a close up of the deer tag card.  I love medallions, and non-card makers think they're really special. You and I know they're not hard to make.  Haven't made one?  It's in the tutorial!
You can get this tutorial, this one with my Pop Out box of Twelve Tags, and 40 more gorgeous projects by the most talented designers for only $24.95.  AND this event uses EVERY SINGLE ITEM in the Stampin' Up! 2013 Holiday Catalog.  So no matter what you've purchased or what fall/winter project you're working on, you will find inspiration and instruction here, or click below!
Here are a couple of autumn-themed projects included in this event (I couldn't choose just one to share!).
This one is created by Melissa Banbury, and is called Truly Grateful Paper Baskets.  I think it would not only make a cute display with the little battery operated candles in it, but how cute would these be as hostess gifts?!

And I have a soft spot for scrapbooking, and LOVED this project by Miriam Cassell.  I love the patterns and colors, but the uniform shapes keep it really easy on the eye.  I'll be making this one to display pretty autumn snapshots!

This is a set of twelve tags and a cute pop out 3D box to send them in...
These were REALLY fun to make!  And pretty easy, too.  I'll give you a little hint...They're made combining two super cute sets from the Holiday Mini...the Stamp-A-Tag Kit, and the Season of Style Journaling Tag Pack.  Here's a closer look at the tags.
Isn't it time to get started on your Christmas preparations?  You'll be glad you did!  Click below to check out my tutorial and 39 others for only $24.95...
I'm going to share another one of my favorites from this event...this one is created by Fran Sabad, and it's unexpected and WONDERFUL for Halloween lovers!  Check it out...
Yes, I think I have to make this!

I'll be back to share my other project from Heating Up the Holidays 2013 in a day or two.  Thanks for stopping by!
